South Island only selling today with 6,800 bales on offer.  South Island selection was made up of 35% average/poor colour crossbred fleece, bulk 75/150mm, small selection of good colour fleece, 20% crossbred second shear bulk 75mm, mostly good colour, 25% good/average lambs 29-31 micron, 10% associated oddments and 10% miscellaneous types.  Indian sub-continent and Europe main, supported by local carpet mills and China.

Good colour in a limited selection up to 4.5% dearer.

Average/poor colour 2% dearer.

Second Shears

All descriptions 3% dearer.

Lambs

Good colour 2% cheaper.

Average colour very firm.

Oddments

Generally sellers favour.
