South Island only selling today with 11,234 bales on offer.  Selection was made up of 39% average/poor colour crossbred fleece, bulk 75/150mm, 9% good colour crossbred second shear bulk 75mm, 20% good/average colour crossbred lambs 29-31 micron, 19% associated oddments, 8% halfbred/merino fleece 16.0-28.0 micron and 5% miscellaneous types.  Indian sub-continent and local carpet mills main, supported by China, Europe and United Kingdom.

Better colour crossbred fleece 3% dearer.

Poorer style 10% dearer.

Shears

Good style 4% dearer.

Lambs

All lambs firm.

Oddments

All descriptions 7.5% dearer.

Passings

29% passed in.
