Summary

Market generally firm tending sellers favour except shears which were cheaper.

Comment

North Island only offering 8,200 bales.

Selection consisted of 22% crossbred fleece mainly good/average colour, 59% crossbred second shears good colour, 50/100mm, 6% crossbred lambs good/average colour, 12% associated oddments average/poor colour and 1% miscellaneous types.

Good competition with all sectors operating.  Good demand today on good colour fleece and shears.  Europe and India continuing to dominate the market with support from China, United Kingdom and local Australasian mills.

Fleece

Crossbred fleece good colour 1% cheaper.

Poorer colour 2% dearer.

Shears

Crossbred shears all descriptions up to 2% cheaper.

Lambs

All descriptions very firm.

Oddments

All descriptions up to 2% dearer.

Passings

16% Passed In.
