Summary

Market continues upwards.

Comment

North Island only selling this week with an offering of 4,465 bales.

Selection consisted of 25% crossbred fleece mainly average to poor colour, 33% crossbred second shear, good to average colour, 30% crossbred lambs, good colour, 9% associated oddments and 3% miscellaneous types.

The market continued to rise strongly today on the back of a small offering across all types.  This coupled with the strengthening of the NZD against the USD had a notable impact on prices in USD.  Main buyers were China, Europe and the Australasian market with good support from the United Kingdom and Subcontinent.

Fleece

Crossbred fleece all styles up to 4% dearer.

Shears

Crossbred shears all styles generally 2% dearer.

Lambs

Crossbred lambs good colour up to 1% dearer.

Poor colour firm.

Oddments

Crossbred oddments 1% dearer.

Lamb oddments 4% dearer.

Passings

2% Passed In.
