There was a smaller selection of Merinos on offer at today’s sale in Christchurch with hogget wools dominating the selection. The New Zealand market felt the repercussions of the falls seen in the Australian market since the last sale held in Christchurch. Finer wools were most affected with some microns seeing a 10% drop.

15.0 & finer 9% cheaper.

15.5 micron 4% cheaper.

16.0 to 17.0 micron up to 10% cheaper.

17.5 to 18.5 micron 5% cheaper.

19.0 to 20.0 micron par to 1% dearer.
