Market mixed.

Comment

South Island only offering 11,300 bales.  The selection consisted of 33% crossbred fleece wool, mainly good colour, 34.0 to 37.0 micron, 13% crossbred second shear good colour average 75mm, 20% halfbred fleece super style 22.0 to 30.0 micron very good style, 13% merino fleece, 16.0 to 21.0 micron excellent style, 15% associated oddments and 6% miscellaneous types.  Reasonable competition with most sectors operating.

Fleece Wools

Good colour crossbred fleece buyers favour.

Average style crossbred fleece firm.

Merino fleece 18.5 micron & finer keenly sought after, 4% dearer.

19.0 to 21.0 micron 10% cheaper.

Halfbred fleece 22.0 to 23.0 micron 3.5% cheaper.

Second Shears

75mm & shorter 3.5% dearer.
