EASTERN AUSTRALIAN MARKET REPORT

COMMENT.

Market generally very firm with stronger interest from the Italian sector on the best 17.5/18.0 micron selection. The first of the New Zealand sales was held in Melbourne. 17% of that offering was passed in and the sale results were in line with the Australian market. 

FLEECE

Best style and specification 17.5/18.0 micron 1 to 2% dearer.

All other descriptions fully firm.

Some irregularity in the inferior and higher VM types.

SKIRTINGS

Best low VM skirtings keenly sought, tending slightly dearer. 

Others unchanged.
