EASTERN AUSTRALIAN MARKET REPORT

COMMENT.

Since the close of the last sale of 2024, the AUD has fallen 3% against the USD, which helped create a very competitive and positive open to the start of the new years selling week, mainly driven by Chinese competition. 

FLEECE

Best European style/spec wools least affected. 

China spec 18.5 micron and finer 2-3% dearer.

China spec 19-20 micron 3% dearer.

China spec 20.5 micron and broader 3-4% dearer.

SKIRTINGS

All FNF skirtings were up to 2-2.5% dearer, with particular keen interest in 18-18.5 micron.
