Summary

Market mixed again.

Comment

North Island offering 9,500 bales and the South Island offering 9,500 bales this week.  The selection consisted of 50% ewe fleece, 34.0 to 38.0 micron, 10% second shear, 32.0 to 39.0 micron, 25% lambs fleece, 28.0 to 30.0 micron and 15% associated oddments.  Widespread competition with most sectors operating.  Australasian carpet mills still maintaining pressure, United Kingdom and Europe main with support from South East Asia.  China still a notable absence.

Fleece Wools

Good/average colour ewe fleece buyers favour.

Second Shears

All descriptions buyers favour.

Lambs

Good colour and style 4% cheaper.

Oddments

All descriptions sellers favour.
