Comment

South Island only selling this week with 9,700 bales on offer.  The selection consisted of 52% crossbred pre-lamb shorn fleece, 36-38 micron, good/average style 100/150mm, 26% crossbred second shear, 36-40 micron, good colour 75/100mm, 7% lambs fleece, 29-31 micron good colour, 75mm, 12% associated oddments and 3% miscellaneous types.  Good competition with China and the Indian Sub Continent main, supported by Europe, the United Kingdom and Australasian carpet mills.

Good colour 5% dearer.

Poorer colour firm.

Second Shears

Good colour shears 5% dearer.

Lambs

All lambs fleece 2.5% dearer.

Oddments

All descriptions generally buyers favour.
