Comment

Both centres selling today with the North Island offering 6,800 bales and the South Island offering 8,500 bales.  The selection consisted of 40% average colour crossbred fleece, 75/125mm, 25% crossbred second shear good/average colour, bulk 75mm, 15% good/average colour lambs 28.0 to 30.0 micron, 15% associated oddments and 5% miscellaneous types.  Indian subcontinent main with support from China and local carpet mills.

Fleece

Crossbred fleece all descriptions 4% dearer.

Second Shears

Good style 3% dearer.

Poorer colour 6.5% dearer.

Lambs

Lambs fleece 5% dearer.

Oddments

All descriptions 10% dearer.

Passings

8% passed in.
