Summary

Market generally firm tending dearer, except oddments which were easier.

Comment

North Island only selling today with 6,000 bales on offer.  Selection was made up of 15% average/poor colour crossbred fleece, bulk 75/100mm, 40% crossbred second shear bulk 75mm mostly average colour second shear and very limited good colour, 25% crossbred lambs 29-31 micron, mainly average/poor colour, 12% associated oddments and 8% miscellaneous types.  Indian sub-continent and Europe main, supported by local carpet mills and China.

Fleece

Limited selection of good colour 6% dearer.

Average/poor colour fully firm.

Second Shears

Firm to sellers favour.

Lambs

Lambs fleece 3% dearer.

Oddments

Poor style 2% cheaper.

Passings

8% passed in.
