Market mixed.

Comment

South Island only selling today with 10,200 bales on offer.  The selection consisted of 43% average/good colour crossbred fleece, bulk 75/150mm, 20% good colour crossbred second shear bulk 75mm, 9% average/poor colour crossbred lambs 29-31 micron, 12% average style halfbred fleece, 25-29 micron, 12% associated oddments and 4% miscellaneous types.  Reasonable competition with Indian sub-continent main supported by local carpet mills, United Kingdom & Europe.

Fleece

Superior style crossbred fleece 5% dearer.

Good colour crossbred fleece 2.5% cheaper.

Poorer style crossbred fleece fully firm.

Shears

Good colour crossbred second shears firm.

Average/good colour crossbred buyers favour.

Oddments

All descriptions fully firm.

Passings

28% passed in.  Mainly halfbred types.
