Comment

South Island only selling today with 8,600 bales on offer.  The selection consisted of 15% good colour crossbred fleece  100/150mm, 30% poorer style crossbred fleece 75/150mm, 21% good/average colour crossbred second shear bulk 75mm, 5% average colour crossbred lambs 29-31 micron, 12% mixed style halfbred fleece wool, 15% associated oddments and 2% miscellaneous types.  Mixed competition with Indian sub-continent main and support coming from local carpet mills, United Kingdom, Europe & China.

Fleece

Good colour crossbred fleece 4% cheaper.

Poorer style crossbred fleece 2% dearer.

In a mixed selection halfbred fleece 24-29 micron generally 2-5% cheaper.

Shears

Good colour crossbred second shears buyers favour.

Poorer colour crossbred second shears 2% dearer.

Oddments

All descriptions buyers favour.
