Comment

North Island only selling today with 5,800 bales on offer.  The selection consisted of 51% crossbred ewe/hogget fleece second shear, 31-38 micron good colour bulk 75mm, 15% crossbred ewe fleece, average colour bulk 75/125mm, 10% hogget fleece, 32-35 micron, good colour, 75/125mm, 5% lambs, 18% associated oddments and 1% miscellaneous types.  Good competition in a limited offering.  Indian sub-continent and China main competition with support from Europe, the United Kingdom and local carpet mills.
