North Island only today offering 7,270 bales.  The selection consisted of 20% fleece mostly average colour, 75/150mm, 35% crossbred second shear good/average colour, 75mm +/-, 26% lambs mainly average to poor colour, 17% associated oddments and 2% miscellaneous.  Main competition China, Europe and the United Kingdom with support from India.

Poorer style crossbred fleece firm.

Shears

Shears tending buyers favour.

Average style 6% cheaper.

Poorer colour firm to sellers favour.

Lambs

Average colour lambs up to 5% cheaper.

Poorer style firm.

Firm to sellers favour with lambs bellies & pieces up to 5% dearer.
