Market mixed again.

Comment

South Island only today offering 10,575 bales.  The selection consisted of 44% fleece mostly average colour, 75/150mm, 14% crossbred second shear good/average colour, 75mm +/-, 20% lambs mainly good colour, 16% associated oddments and 6% miscellaneous.  Main competition China and India, with support from Europe and the United Kingdom plus local mills.

Fleece

Good colour fleece in a limited selection 2% cheaper.

Average colour fleece 2% cheaper.

Shears

Good colour shears firm to buyers favour.

Average style 3% cheaper.

Lambs

Good colour lambs 7% dearer.

Average colour lambs in a small selection up to 10% dearer.

Oddments

Crossbred oddments up to 2% dearer.

Lamb oddments firm.

Passings

16% passed in.
