Comment

South Island only selling today offering 7,175 bales.  The selection consisted of 45% crossbred fleece generally good colour, 75-150mm, 16% good colour shears, 6% mainly good colour lambs, 15% halfbred fleece average to good colour, 2% small merino selection, 13% associated oddments, and 3% miscellaneous types.  Main competition Europe and India supported by the United Kingdom, China and local mills.

Fleece

Good colour buyers favour and B grade fully firm.

Average colour up to 2% dearer.

Shears

Good colour keenly sought after, 5% dearer.

Lambs

All descriptions generally firm tending sellers favour.

Oddments

All descriptions 2% dearer.

Passings

9% passed in.
