Market mixed.

Comment

North Island only selling today offering 4,875 bales.  The selection consisted of 10% crossbred fleece mostly average colour, 75-150mm, 60% mainly good colour crossbred shears, 10% lambs fleece mostly good/average colour for coarser type, 15% oddments average colour and 5% miscellaneous types.  Main competition still focused on Europe and India, supported by the United Kingdom, local mills with limited support from China.

Good/average colour crossbred fleece firm.

Shears

All descriptions up to 3% cheaper.

Lambs

All descriptions very firm.

Oddments

Crossbred oddments good/average colour up to 2% dearer.

Poor colour very firm.

Passings

16% passed in.
