North Island only offering 5,990 bales today.  Selection consisted of 14% crossbred fleece average/good colour, 75/150mm, 59% crossbred second shear and hogget shears mainly good colour, 8% lambs good colour, 18% crossbred oddments, good to average style and 1% miscellaneous types.

Main competition Europe and India, supported by the United Kingdom, China and Australasian carpet mills.
