Summary

Market continues upwards.

Comment

North Island only offering 5,450 bales.

Selection consisted of 5% crossbred fleece mostly good colour, 23% hogget fleece, good colour, 56% crossbred hogget and second shear good colour 50/100mm, 15% associated oddments all descriptions and 1% miscellaneous types.

Market continues to show a very strong buyer sentiment.  The selection was mostly good white colour resulting in higher prices being offered across all types.  Main buyers were Europe, China and the United Kingdom with support from local Australasian mills.

Fleece

Crossbred fleece good colour 2% dearer.

Crossbred fleece average colour 3% dearer.

Crossbred hoggets up to 6% dearer.

Shears

Crossbred shears up to 4% dearer.

Oddments

Crossbred oddments all descriptions generally 2% dearer.
