Market continues to strengthen.

Comment

North Island only offering 9,800 bales.  The selection consisted of 60% crossbred early shorn/second shear, good colour bulk 3″, 11% crossbred fleece average style, 8% end of season lambs average style, 17% associated oddments and 4% miscellaneous types.  Keen widespread competition with Indian Sub Continent main and support from the United Kingdom, Europe and Australasian carpet mills.

Good style 5% dearer.

Average style fleece 4% dearer.

Second Shears

Good style up to 10% dearer.

Lambs

All descriptions 5% dearer.

Oddments

All descriptions 15% dearer.
