Comment

South Island only offering 10,100 bales.  The selection consisted of 47% crossbred fleece good and average style, 10% crossbred second shear, mainly good colour average 75mm, 10% good style lambs 29-31 micron, 10% mid micron fleece 25-30 micron, 4% merino fleece, 16% associated oddments and 3% miscellaneous types.  Keen widespread competition with Indian Sub Continent main and support from the China, United Kingdom, Europe and Australasian carpet mills.

Good style 7.5% dearer.

Average style fleece buyers favour.

Second Shears

Good style up to 4% dearer.

Lambs

All descriptions 2.5% dearer.

Oddments

All descriptions buyers favour.
