Summary

Market continues to strengthen.

Comment

North Island only offering 8,000 bales.  The selection consisted of 66% crossbred second shear, mainly good colour, 75mm, 13% crossbred fleece average style, 9% average style lambs and 12% associated oddments.  Keen widespread competition with Indian Sub Continent main and support from the China, United Kingdom, Europe and Australasian carpet mills.

Average style fleece 10% dearer.

Second Shears

Good style up to 3.5% dearer.

Lambs

All descriptions 7.5% dearer.

Oddments

All descriptions 8% dearer.
