Summary

Market continues to get dearer.

Comment

North Island only offering 6,700 bales.  The selection consisted of 57% crossbred second shear, bulk good style 75mm average, 20% crossbred fleece bulk average style, 10% lambs fleece average/good style and 13% associated oddments.  Very keen widespread competition with most sectors operating.  Indian Sub Continent and United Kingdom main supported by Europe, China and Australasian carpet mills.

Fleece

In a small selection good colour crossbred fleece generally firm.

Average colour up to 2% dearer.

Second Shears

All descriptions 5% dearer.

Lambs

Fully firm.

Oddments

All descriptions 2% dearer.
