South Island only offering 5,600 bales.  The selection consisted of 25% crossbred ewe fleece, 34-38 bulk good/average colour, 25% crossbred hogget fleece, 30-33 micron, good colour, 75/100mm and longer, 10% crossbred second shear, 35-38 micron good colour bulk 75mm, 5% crossbred lambs, 30-31 mic average colour 75mm, 12% halfbred fleece 24.0-29.0 micron super colour, 7% merino fleece super style, 13% associated oddments and 3% miscellaneous types.  Keen widespread competition with most sectors operating.

Fleece

Good colour hogget and ewe fleece firm.

Poorer style fleece 2.5% cheaper.

Halfbred & Merino fleece generally 3.5% dearer.

Second Shears

Good colour crossbred second shear buyers favour.

Poorer style second shear 2.5% cheaper.

Oddments

Crossbred oddments all descriptions buyers favour.
