Market eases.

Comment

North Island only offering 8,500 bales.  The selection consisted of 31% crossbred ewe and hogget fleece, 34-38 micron good/average colour 75/125mm and longer, 51% crossbred ewe and hogget second shear, 32-38 micron good colour bulk 75mm, 15% associated oddments and 3% miscellaneous types.  Reasonable competition with most sectors operating.  Slightly softer tone with most exporters having filled their requirements for 2021.

Fleece

Crossbreed ewe/hogget fleece 2.5% cheaper.

Second Shears

Crossbred ewe/hogget second shear buyers favour.

Oddments

Crossbred oddments all descriptions 3% cheaper.

Passings

7% passed in.

In the last sale for the year, South Island offering 6,400 bales and North Island offering 7,000 bales Thursday 16th December.
