Comment

North Island only selling this week offering 8,165 bales.  The selection consisted of 30% second shear 34 to 38 micron average colour, bulk 75mm and longer, 28% ewe fleece average colour bulk 75/125mm and longer, 26% new season lambs, bulk 29.5 micron and finer, 4% lamb oddments, 10% associated oddments and 2% miscellaneous types.  Keen widespread competition with most sectors operating.  South East Asia main with support from the United Kingdom, local carpet mills, Europe and China.

Good colour 2% dearer.

Average colour 4% dearer.

Poorer style buyers favour.

Second Shears

Good colour 4% dearer.

Average colour sellers favour.

Lambs

Firm to sellers favour.

Oddments

All descriptions 5% cheaper.
