Market holds up well in a larger offering.

Comment

North Island only offering 12,000 bales this week.  The selection consisted of 35% second shear poorer style, bulk 75mm, 17% crossbred ewe fleece poor colour bulk 75/125mm and longer, 31% lambs fleece, bulk 29.5 micron and finer, good/average colour, 12% associated oddments and 5% miscellaneous types.  Keen widespread competition with most sectors operating.  Indian sub continent main with support from Europe, United Kingdom, China and Australasian carpet spinners.

Fleece

Good colour fleece 2.5% dearer.

Poorer style fleece sellers favour.

Second Shears

Good colour 2.5% dearer.

Poorer style sellers favour.

Lambs

Generally 3% cheaper.

Oddments

All descriptions 4% dearer.

Passings

5% passed in.
