Market generally dearer.

Comment

South Island only selling today with 5,780 bales on offer.  The selection consisted of 40% crossbred fleece mainly good/average colour, 15% crossbred shears mostly good colour, 5% halfbred fleece of mixed quality, 15% good style lambs fleece, 15% oddments all descriptions and 10% miscellaneous types.

There was keen widespread competition with most sectors operating.  United Kingdom, China and Indian Sub Continent main, with support from Australasian carpet mills.

All descriptions 5% dearer.

Second Shears

All descriptions 2% cheaper.

Lambs

Lambs fully firm.

Oddments

Oddments sellers favour.

Passings

8% Passed In.
