Summary

Market dearer again except good colour fleece.

Comment

North Island only selling this week with 9,700 bales on offer.  The selection consisted of 70% crossbred second shear 36.0 to 38.0 micron good style 75/100mm, 10% crossbred fleece 36.0 to 40.0 micron mainly average colour, 15% associated oddments and 5% miscellaneous types.  Good competition with the Indian Sub Continent main, supported by Europe, the United Kingdom and Australasian carpet mills.

Fleece

Good colour up to 5% cheaper.

Poorer colour 5% dearer.

Second Shears

Good colour shears very firm.

Poorer colour 5% dearer.

Oddments

All descriptions up to 4% dearer.
