Comment

South Island only today offering 10,850 bales.  The selection consisted of 50% ewe fleece mostly average colour, 75/150mm, 15% crossbred second shear good colour, 75mm +/-, 25% lambs mainly good colour and 10% associated oddments.  Competition across all markets with a renewed interest from China.

Fleece

Good colour crossbred ewe/hogget fleece in a small selection firm.

Poorer style crossbred fleece firm.

Shears

Good colour crossbred shears 1 to 2% dearer.

Poorer colour crossbred shears up to 4.5% dearer.

Lambs

Good colour lambs firm to sellers favour.

Poor style 8 to 10% dearer.

Oddments

Firm to sellers favour.

Lambs oddments up to 7% dearer.

Passings

17% passed in.
